What. A. Weekend.
From weddings to families, this weekend was simply perfect..... AND CHILLY! Saturday started off with Greg & Jenna's elegant wedding at the Patrick Henry Ballroom. With a coral & navy blue theme and simple accents, their ballroom wedding was perfect! We snuck out for a few couples shots to show the beauty of downtown Roanoke & the Patrick Henry Hotel at night time and they rocked it!
After partying our hearts out on Saturday night, it was time to rise & shine for a VERY busy Sunday! Let me make a quick shout-out to all my amazing clients whom I had the opportunity to photograph on Sunday - you guys don't look as cold as what we were! First up, the Heims family! Joanna, Wes & Miss Charlotte started the day off to a great start in the outskirts of Roanoke, Virginia and within the first 10 pictures, we nailed our session! While I didn't want to say goodbye, I had to make my way down the road to Paint Bank, Virginia. Yes, this photographer travels and absolutely loves it!
I was recently introduced to Paint Bank, VA from some friends & let me just say, I'm in love with this quaint little place! A town no bigger than 5 building but don't let that fool you - this place is ALWAYS popping! I made my first tradition and if you need one - visit Paint Bank & go buy some buffalo meat & a glass bottle Dr. Pepper from the General Store. It's the small things that matter in life and that's exactly what Christa & Andy thought. Andy & Christa were high school sweethearts at Amherst County High School and accompanied each other at Ferrum College (woohoo - fellow alumni). Well, they are finally tying the knot & I was so fortunate to capture their engagement! While it may have been frigid to where Andy's hands turned purple, that didn't stop us. They were troopers and his smile says it all!
To finish the day, I hopped back into my car to make the mountainous drive back to Roanoke to meet the Boles family. Three personality driven boys, one awesome momma & a very patient daddy! Through they were freezing, these boys were climbing through rocks & "tasting the rainbow" to make their session a little bit better.
