Johnson & Alice: A Hometown Wedding in Warrenton, Virginia

After traveling 6 hours up & down interstate 81 to photograph Johnson & Alice's wedding, the only thing I can say is thank you.

Thank you Johnson & Alice for letting me capture your big day! Thank you to their family for raising such great individuals who have grown into such an amazing couple. Thank you to their friends who supported their relationship through the years and thank you to all the vendors who were a part of their big day!

I first found out about Johnson and Alice (to be known as Bunny from now on) from a friend. I met Bunny in a coffee shop and we clicked immediately & started talking details, dates & such as if I had known her for forever. The day finally came to take their engagement pictures & when I would meet two of her favorite men, Johnson & McLaren (their adorable pup) - and what a day it was! We had so much fun & explored all over Virginia Tech's campus to get every shot possible!

Fast forward to wedding day, when my second shooter and I got to travel up to Warrenton, Virginia to photograph their wedding at The Inn at Vint Hill. A foyer wedding with a backyard reception displaying a classic, popping style at its finest. From music to food, this couple had all the right fixings. And I could talk FOREVER about that sunset! But all through the night, I kept my eyes on this lovely couple - watching them share their love with family & friends and periodically glancing for each other, followed with a smile.

Through life, sometimes we forget to step back and experience things first hand. Johnson & Bunny, I hope these pictures bring back the small details & the lost moments and you share them forever more. Congratulations you two on a beautiful wedding & an inspiring marriage!

And when they play the YMCA while you're taking couples shots....this happens!

Seriously though....sunset shots were a blast with these two dancing to every song!
