Wedding days are jam packed full of memories. Like when the weather forecast calls for thunderstorms and the sun decided to shine instead. Or how about when one of you surprises the other with....THE HOKIE BIRD! BUT, these are good memories because they lead to one of the best memories of all, getting married to your best friend! At the end of the day, Chad & Julie truly showed a love that is active, alive & on fire.
The rain held off, the band played all night long & laughter never died. Moments before the ceremony, I could see the anticipation boiling in both rooms at the Inn at Virginia Tech. Finally, Julie made her way down the chapel aisle to her husband, who was fighting back as many tears as he could. We then ventured to the Duck Pond only to have some of the best pictures of the day and I grew to learn the back story of their engagement - at the "Engagement Bench". This bench is a weathered wooden bench but, just like marriage - it's seen all sorts of situations. Good weather, bad weather, sad news & happy news. But this bench is much more than just some wood assembled together to provide a place to lounge - this bench is where Chad asked Julie to marry him. Where they started their lives together as one instead of two.
Chad & Julie, may this bench provide stability for your marriage & these images remind you of where it all began. With love, to the Tangchittsumran's.
