I. Just. Can't.
As I was driving up the Blue Ridge Parkway, I thought to myself, "today is a great day to take pictures.....Great, that means EVERYONE and their mother is going to be at the Peaks of Otter to take pictures". While I was right about the weather, I was wrong about the crowd. The Peaks was definitely in bloom and there were plenty of guests enjoying it but for Mark & Ashley's engagement session, it was perfect. Perfect light, perfect foliage, perfect outfits, perfect couple - our session seriously was perfect!
Mark & Ashley met about a year ago but have been inseparable every since and their story, is definitely not your average story. Which is why I immediately fell in love with them when I met them for the first time a couple months back. Upon arriving to their session this past Sunday though, I knew it was going to go well but, not this well! Not to the point where I literally can't tell myself to delete any images. Not to the point where I found myself struggling to post one picture as their sneak peek because I had not one but, a bundle of favorites!
This couple showed me compassion, trust, friendship and more - all just by having met me once before their session. Mark looks at Ashley like every girl dreams to be looked at. Ashley holds Mark the way a man needs to be held. They just fit. The love they carry for each other was evident more and more as we ventured just a short walk around the Peaks of Otter trail. Their June wedding cannot come fast enough for this photographer. Congratulations Ashley & Mark!!
