Talk about a night! They say there is a first for everything & my engagement session with Trevin & Miranda was definitely a first - my first engagement with an entourage, 4-wheeling up and down mountains all over the back-country of Craig County from afternoon to night delight!
I didn't quite know what I was getting myself into when Miranda told me there would be no cell service where we were going. In the West part of the US, that can be very concerning & somewhat frightening. However, in the South, that's the best place to be! At first they were a little shy but boy, did they warm up quickly! The jokes started to fly both between the two of them & their family on the sidelines. I couldn't help but capture so many smiles because we basically giggled through the entire session!
Nature played a huge part in our shoot, as we started by the creek and ended by the fire but, I don't think I could have planned it any other way! As the sun started to fall, we ventured up the mountain to their final destination for the evening. While the entire session was so well thought out, this spot was the most important. Trevin & Miranda love to build fires together, especially on nights like the one we had. Surrounded by family & with their help, we were able to capture the sunset engagement session roasting marshmallows wIth the best view this photographer could ask for! There's a reason why some places don't have cell phone service, and this is one of them! Trevin, Miranda & all of the Whitehead, Bell & Martin families - thank you for letting me become a part of your family for the evening & for what'st to come! I cannot wait to see what God has in store for these two before they tie the knot at Sundara in 2018!
