National Park Elopement | Ravens Roost | Sunset Wedding | Blue Ridge Parkway

For the first time in a long time, I ventured back out to the Blue Ridge Parkway for a couple who was ITCHING to elope at Ravens Roost! After seven long years of waiting, through long distance and more, Andrew & Rachel dreamed of having a National Park elopement but quickly found that Ravens Roost was a better fit for their intimate sunset wedding!

Surrounded by their immediate family, her blind puppers, onlookers pulling off of the Blue Ridge Parkway and the most gorgeous weather, I don't think their elopement could have been any more perfect! We started with a private first look where they shared hand written letters and shortly after, ventured to Ravens Roost to meet with the rest of their family. Through an intimate ceremony, they became husband & wife and then the celebrating began (if you can’t tell by Honey’s mid-ceremony howl)! Just like any other wedding, we took some family portraits and I quickly learned how much of a model Miss Honey was. A blind dog on a cliff… who would’ve thought? But that girl stole the show! I have to be honest, meeting her was my favorite part of the day. I had to include several picture of her & her paw-rents because she’s just so dang cute. Following all the family photos, both human and dog related, we decided to chase the sunset with attitude and personality until blue hour sent us home! While it wasn’t the national park elopement they originally planned for, their Blue Ridge Parkway elopement was by far more than we could have ever imagined.

I promised more to come and I have to say, I think I delivered!! With over 70 images, I can’t wait for you to get lost in their memories! Congratulations Andrew & Rachel, the new Mr. & Mrs.!
