As a Charlottesville wedding photographer, when I think back on Evan and Gillian’s wedding day at Big Spring Farm in Lexington, VA, one word comes to mind—magical. One of the most magical moments of the night came just before sunset. As the rain clouds parted, a golden glow spilled over the mountaintop, and we knew we had to seize the opportunity. Sneaking away for golden-hour portraits, Evan and Gillian stood against the breathtaking landscape, their love shining brighter than ever. Those few quiet moments, away from the festivities, were pure magic.

To top off the night, the couple surprised their guests with a stomach filling dinner by Chef’s Catering, a poppin’ dancefloor by RSP Entertainment and Pronto Gelato—a sweet and refreshing treat that was the perfect ending to an already incredible day. But they weren’t done making memories just yet! Instead of shying away from the lingering puddles, Evan and Gillian embraced the moment, laughing as they jumped and splashed, soaking in every last second of their wedding day.
